ROSARY CELEBRATES HALLOWEEN WITH TRICK OR TREAT FUN!
By: Paloma Lopez
ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 29TH, Rosary High School hosted a trick or treat event around the square for elementary students in grades 5th or below. The event was sponsored by Rosary´s National Honor Society as well as the Student Council and volunteers signed up to pass out candy in fun costumes for service. Two Royals, Emma Woodford and Alexis Brennan (´24) both dressed up like cowgirls to volunteer! Another aspect of the two years in the running event that has been well received was the community Pumpkin Decorating contest, in which over 30 students submitted a pumpkin in categories scariest, funniest, most creative and most school spirit. Each homeroom also decorated their door in anticipation for the event as well as clubs and societies. The overall winner of the door decorating contest was Mr. Sparacino’s homeroom. The event was a major success. Throughout the two hour period, over 130 children were in attendance at the Trick or Treat event, receiving treats donated by the community of Rosary High School. Although the Halloween season has come to an end, the Rosary community sent it off with an annual event that is loved by students, staff and the community!
